Robbinsdale Cooper's Science Department offers a full range of rigorous, college prepatory courses for 9th through 12th grades aligned to the Minnesota Academic Science Standards.  By the 2012-2013 school year, all freshmen Physical Science and sophomore Biology courses will be MYP courses.  International Baccalaureate Diploma Level courses are available to juniors and seniors.

All courses emphasize the practical application of content through labs and every-day experiences.  Students seeking a larger challenge can choose to take Honors courses at all grade levels.

 

In addition to traditional coursework, we also offer several electives.  For descriptions of all our courses, please go to the Registration Guide using the "Students" option on the left side of the screen.  Further, students have the opportunity to go on a Biological Research trip to the Costa Rican rainforest to study leaf-cutter ants.  More information can be found here.

 

The graduating class of 2014-2015 must successfully pass 10th grade Biology AND either Physics or Chemistry in order to graduate.
